    Load data for a 38-55

I bought this rifle from another TBHer.
I had intended on reselling it as I felt like I got it for a great price.

As I was waiting on it to get here the temptation to shoot it became more than I could bare. I ordered 50 brass, 100 200 grain bullets and a set of Dies.

My problem comes in with loading data.
The rifle is the same gun as they chambered the .375 Winchester in that is good for around 50,000 psi. The load data for a 38-55 tops out at about 20,000 psi because of the fear of all the old guns floating around.

I would like to move the 200 grain bullet at 2000 fps. a light load from the .375 does that at about 38,000psi ( 30/30 pressures)
the 375 and the 38-55 are the same.

    anybody played with this cartridge?

I have a Marlin 336 in 38/55 I load for it but my loads are pretty mild. Check out Marlin Owners Forum or Castboolits lot of information there.
