Need advise on first AR build

Got a decent deal on a lower today, so I picked it up, spur of the moment thing....It also comes with the parts kit. I have a rra entry tactical now, so I want one for a little longer range and I want a suppressed SBR. Not sure which one I wanna go which route. But I am looking for advise on a parts list. Don't wanna go crazy with the $$, but I'm willing to pay a little extra for better parts. My rra

    Several questions.

    Accuracy matter?
    Going to suppress it?

Building lower only or upper and lower?

I plan on going longer range/Varmint with one, just not sure which will be the better platform. And at least one will be suppressed. Also, thinking about a 10.5" barrel on the SBR.

Wilson combat barrel 18" ss fluted. Good barrel and not crazy expensive
Fail zero bolt for a budget friendly coated bcg
I like bcm uppers but most of time I build billet so I go with Seekins
AXTS Raptor charging handle is a must for me
BCM Alpha rail 15" is my go to handguard as well
Then of course your gas tube and gas block. If your doing sbr I would run an adjustable block.
        Hope this helps a little.

SOme things I do for my precision guns.

          1. Geissele Trigger.
          2. Loctite both the barrel in the barrel extension as well as the gas block to the barrel.....not the nuts.....the barrel.
          3. adjustable gas block if going suppressed or hand loading.

          SBR

I like to run a low profile block and a long handguard so only the tip of the suppressor is coming out. I handle the suppressor blowback with the gemtech adjustable BCG.

          hope this helps.

Faxon fire arms barrel. You need to check these guys out
Raptor charging handle when u can find them
Glass for what you want to shoot
Adjustable gas block as others have said if or if not suppressed

Plenty of great advice given already! I'll add:

Take a look at ballistic advantage barrels. They're a great bang for the buck on high-end barrels.

X2 on Geiselle triggers. I've got 5 SSA-E triggers already and I just got the S3G to try in a 300BK 8.5" build. In a AR, 99% of accuracy is going to come from your barrel and trigger. So, don't skimp on these components.

My favorite barrel manufacturer is AR15performance.com, AKA, ARP.

They specialize in 6.8 SPC barrels but also make a great 5.56. Most of their products are 5r rifled and nitro-carburized (Melonite) so they have a very good reputation for accuracy (I've never heard of one that didn't hold MOA) and last a long time ... all at a very good price.

Not too shabby. Now looking for keymod hand guard.
