Belted ammo

Saw some belted ammo at an auction, maybe 30-06, that was about 3'

Some bozo made a comment that it was illegal to own belted ammo

Any chance he was right?

It had orange tips

Ended up selling for more than I was willing to pay but thought it would be a cool thing to have

Belted ammo is fully legal. The guns that fire them tend to be highly regulated
