Ok guys, we just spent two weeks up in the mountains from Moab to Denver. And I have never seen so many UTVs on the back of trucks and trailers. Since when did Natl Forest open up so many roads or trails to utvs? I used to live in Colo and you could ride enduro bikes on trails but not like the amount that was seen. At every campsite there would be half a dozen rigs and places in town to rent. Something about this tells me that can't be good on the wildlife? Thoughts? When will people learn to self regulate?

UTV and RTVs problem

To my knowledge, UTVs can only ride roads that are open to normal vehicles. There are separate trails that only vehicles under 50" may ride on (there are some UTVs specifically designed for this, but they are few and far between) and some that only motorcycles my ride on.
So UTVs, for the most part, can't go anywhere that you couldn't take a jeep. If they are riding on trails designed for motorcycles and 4 wheelers they are breaking the law.
This is based on my experience around South Fork, so other places may be different, but I think they're all the same. I've seen some guys breaking the law and riding Rangers and Rhinos where they shouldn't, but not a ton.

How do you like fishing with a buzz saw going around your boat? Same diff when it comes to Mulie or Elk hunting up in the Rockies.
