    Safe Light Loads 12ga

I have a 128 year old Baker SxS I'd like to shoot a little. Yes it has Damascus barrels but they look perfect and shiny. The action is on face and tight. Really amazing condition for a gun of it's age.

Any thoughts on factory light loads to safely dispatch a few doves this year?

I have a personal rule about owning guns I don't shoot. Shoot 'em or sell 'em!

I can not say whether or not these are safe to shoot in a Damascus barrel but Winchester makes or made a 12 ga FeatherLite load. It's a very light load with no recoil and little noise. They are under 1000fps too. In the past I used them for beginning shooters as training loads.

I've seen ads for RSTshotshells on other websites, supposed to make loads for older shotguns. I have never used nor ordered any products from them so I would try to call them if you can to see if they have what you need.

Heavi Shot Classic Doubles was designed to shoot through old guns.
