    Taurus PT111 G2?

Anybody have any experience with this little gun?

It have been considering a 2nd CC gun, narrowed down to G43, Shield 9mm and Kahr CM9.
Stopped in local shop to check what they had and prices and owner asked if I had considered Taurus PT111. Considerably less $$$ and double the mag capacity (double stack) in slightly larger profile.

    Good choice or not?

A quick search reveals there are a few opinions on this gun.

Here is just one thread about it:

My personal opinion having only handled one in the gun shop and never shot it one, the list you have are all better options than the Taurus.

Jason I did search and research on the GS but everything appears to be on the previous generation of the PT111

I have also googled the reviews on the newer version and they are not bad

I have owned one. Never carried it but when I pulled the trigger it went bang every time. The only real complaint I had about it is that it wouldn't chamber Hornady critical defense reliably. I believe the polymer tip would get caught on the feed ramp, polishing the ramp probably would've solved that issue. Every other ammo chambered fine. I liked it but traded off. Now I have an xds and like it 100x better. My experience was positive with it but I couldn't recommend it over what you already have on your list.

Not familiar with the Taurus gun, at least not acquainted. But I like My Kahr and do not plan on needing another one.

I have one. Got a good deal on it. Goes bang every time I pull the trigger. Not bad for accuracy either. I'd buy another.

I have 2 and have never had any issues other than feeding hollow points in them. At first I had a issue with them feeding hollow point but after polishing the feed ramp, that was no longer an issue. I keep one in my back pack and it has been slung around & beat up, but it fires anytime I pull the trigger

I've got one but haven't shot it yet, magazine is very hard to load but I'm having some issues with my hands right now, probably couldn't hold on to the gun when I fired it. Hopefully in the future I can give you a better update.
