6.8 Rock River. I was shocked when it knocked down this pig. I thought for sure I'd be chasing this thing thru the woods!

Sorry I'm late getting back to this. I have 2 or 3 different mags. The one that works best is a Grendel mag that I bought for 10 bucks at a gun show. No name, no marks other than 6.5 Grendel on the blue follower. It is a 10 rounder. I have a couple of 30 rounders, they both have issues.

We've killed more than a few critters with our 6.8's using factory federal fusions for the most part.

AR SBR 8.5" in 300 AAC BLK. Built it myself. Timney trigger, CMMG wasp barrel, magpul grip, magpul CTR stock, JP fore end.

shoots 220gr subs or 110gr barnes tac-tx supers very well.

Thanks for all the replies. Y'all are making it hard for me. I think I'm going to build the 6.8 first.

                  Good luck with it.

A little warning, one build will turn into two and then three and so on.
They call it BRD- black rifle disease.

ARP makes great 6.8 barrels. That's a good place to start.

Yea I bought 2 lowers because I knew I couldn't stop at just one. First will be the 6.8.

I put together this 300 bo pistol the other day

and was less than impressed with how the Anderson Lower and Radical arms LPK went together. The bolt catch release didn't flow too smoothly (I tried 2 different ones) so I had to hit the lower's groove with some emory cloth to loosen it up. And the front take down pin is tight. I might still do some more work on that.

This is the first time I have run into these problems with a put together and the first time I have used those components- still not sure which was to blame.

Just warning that if you are doing a budget build with budget stuff you might run into some minor issues to work through.

Shorty suppressed 300 BLK...My 10 year olds have been using it for deer and hogs the last three years. The bigger bullet reduces the tracking I have to do, but the platform is still very comfortable/shootable for the kids.

I mainly use my SBR .300 blackout for its light weight and mobility. I still use a 556 occasionally. But will start using my AR308 more now that I've got it tuned right

Here's the blackout with a Zeus Pro thermal

And my AR 308. I also use the thermal on it.
