I am looking into getting a new rifle and have been looking at a 6.5 creedmore. I typically shoot my old 270 or 243 here in texas. I am wanting something a little more for mile deer and elk. I don't have any experience with the 6.5 so I am wondering what the recoil is like and any other info I can find.

6.5 creedmore
It's what I use for deer (along with .260) but it's a little light for elk. Especially at a mile. If I was going to shoot an elk at a mile, I'd darn sure be shooting my .300WM
Use those links above and the search feature - the 6.5 Creedmoor is one of the most discussed topics on here. I would, also, strongly suggest doing some reading and posting over at LongRangeHunting.com and SnipersHide. There's some great info on here but those sites are specifically tailored to what you're interested in. Just sayin.

OHHHH, okay, yeah, that makes MUCH better sense!
The Creed isn't what I would consider "more" than 270, but the bullet selection is better for BC.
