    All around AR build

I'm thinking about building an AR for all around hunting. I'm leaning towards the 6.8 spc. Thoughts and opinions please

I just built a 6.5 Grendel for all around hunting. I have only taken it out once for axis and they didn't co-operate but at the range it is sub moa all day.

5.56x45 NATO works just fine for me. Especially with a 65 grain Sierra Game King.

Love my 6.8! It's accurate, fast enough and does everything I want it to do. I drop deer with it just as dead as my 7 mag.

What upper did you go with? Barrel length?

6.8 is great. I went 300 blk out for everything sub and support. Can go 208gr subs for fun and varmints pigs or super 110gr Barnes for deer pigs or whatever within ranges of 100-200

16" barreled 6.8 will be perfect for you.

I agree with this and have one. I shoot these little gems out of it.

I built my upper, but I went with a 16" arp barrel.

Another vote for the 6.8. If you don't SBR then the 16" barrel is perfect

                      What if you SBR?

11.5-12.5" is supposed to be the sweet spot
