This is probably a very ignorant question, but I have never been to a public gun range, therefore I have no clue. How do you retrieve your targets? I'm talking rifles, and shooting 200-300 yards.

Usually there is a range officer that will call a cease fire every set amount of time. Usually 15-30 minutes. Alot of times though if there is an empty range he will call them when ever every one on the line is ready to go down and retrieve.
If there isn't a range officer present and only a couple of guys present you just come to a mutual time to quit shooting and go retrieve, done this more often than with a range officer just make dang sure you and the other guy are communicating.

Ultimately make sure you assume nothing especially if you have any part in organizing the cease fire. Seen some serious errors and miscommunication over the years at place like ASC. Make sure all bolts are open and my advice is to rack the semi auto's like ar 15's etc. It only takes one mistake.
How's things looking at ASC? Did the range office get flooded?
