    Question about PSA PA-10

I know there are few guarantees with the AR-10/LR308 style receivers when parts compatibility is concerned, but does anyone know if "DPMS Patten" parts work with the PSA receivers?

For example, could I buy a DPMS upper and attach it to my PSA lower and edict it to work? Could I buy a barrel meant for DPMS rifles and expect it to work with a PSA upper?

The parts available direct from PSA are slim, and I've yet to see a single barrel on their site for the large frame guns, only complete upper assemblies, and never in the caliber I want (6.5 Creedmoor). I'd like to get an upper, and order a barrel and rail from elsewhere, but I have no guarantee that the barrel will fit the PSA upper. Hoping someone else had traveled this road before me and can share their experience.

Have you tried to contact PSA? I know they can sometimes be hard to reach, but that's where I'd start.

Don't know if this review helps any.

Go to the PSA forum. I have the TAC-10 but it's the same as the PA-10. Did my research there. DPMS has a couple of different options and I don't remember what they are called. When I found out what was supposed to fit my TAC-10 I was able to order all the aftermarket stuff to that DPMS pattern and everything fit.

Yeah, I tried there first. No response for quite some time, and when I did get a response, it was "we can only guarantee that PSA parts work, except that any standard AR-15 fire control group works."

I wasn't aware that there was a PSA forum. I'll see if I can find it.

As I recall, it's the fastest way to get answers. If you ask for an RMA from their customer service you will get one but email communication is not good. I think they have an employee who answers stuff on the forum though.

Thanks, I found it on AR15.com. looks like lots of proprietary parts, but the DPMS spec barrels supposedly work, and I assume rails of the same pattern as well.

Yep, I remembered after I logged off last night that it was part of AR15. Also, the DPMS terms I was trying to think of is low and high profile. I think the PSA upper matches the low. Probably really only relevant for adding a free float. https://troyind.com/sites/troyind.co...RS_COMPARE.pdf
