What is the best AR 15/10 for predator hunting?

Will be used on anything from Racoons to Coyotes.

You will get all sorts of answers on this but I have a Rock River Coyote Rifle and it's been a great rifle. Not real heavy. I've had a 16" carbine and a 24" bull stainless as well and this 20" that I have is my favorite. It's a 1-9" twist too, shoots 55 gr Vmax lights out. The 24" bull was a 1-8" and I didn't like it cause it liked 69gr and above, but that was back when 69gr variety wasn't really a wide range to find.

AR15. AR10 would obliterate them. Plus cost factor on .223/.556 Ammo is cheaper. There is a weight reduction also with AR15 if you are going to be strolling around the woods for any length of time.

          ^^^ This

Wouldn't waste 308 ammo on a yote. Like shooting a deer with a .338 wimag: it works, but it's not necessary.

I had a DPMS Sweet 16 and regret parting with that sucker. It would stack em'!!

Not normally what you think of when talking ARs but my Remington R15 is one heck of an accurate gun.

One that goes boom and hits where you aim. I have a DPMS ORACLE 5.56/223. Nothing fancy. Has a trigger job. Shoots coons up to hogs.

Rock River Predator in .308. Coyotes are as good of use for .308 ammo as any other critter....

Do you care about the condition of the hides?

I have a DPMS Sporticle. It works just fine for me. Rock River makes good rifles but are a little more expensive. The Ruger SR556 or the Bushmaster Varminter are other good options. It just depends what you want to spend too though. I don't really see much sense in buying the best looking, most expensive gun on the market to shoot coyotes with. I'm cheap though so that's why.lol If it goes bang I make it work.
