Has anyone tried these with the firedot reticle. I just ended up with a Tikka CTR 260 rem. Looking at putting one on it.

I have 2 of them. A 2-7x33 and a 4-12x50. Been happy with both of them. Have only used the fire dot on last minute hogs and it works great on that dark target.

Got a buddy that has one. I like it. Pretty nice when it starts getting close to dark.

Leupold VX-R

I have a 3x9 firedot on my 6.8 spc. I like it a lot. My kids love it. My 9 year old probably shoots better then me. Sad to admit.

Also just bought a vx6 with firedot in 3-18 for my 6.5 but haven't shot it yet.

I have one buddy that says their junk and he claims one of his friends has sent 2 back to fix the firedot. He is the only one I have heard say this. Just looking for other opinions as I talked a different buddy into ordering one for his custom 223. And he loves it just thinking about giving one a try on my own now.

I was looking at a 3–9x40 VX-R for $500 yesterday. Couldn't make up my mind. It was just ok.

I had one on an AR for a bit. It was a bad scope for the money. Never gave me any problems. Wasn't a fan of the reticle but the illumination was nice to have.

I have a VXR Patrol model on one of my AR's. It's extremely good glass for the money.
