    Bolt action SBR?

Anybody built one? I don't want to know about those girlymen TCs either haha.

I picked up a trued model 7 action from a buddy the other day and think I am going to build a 10" 300 blk on it. I am not a huge fan of the 300 blk but for a short bolt gun there isn't a better choice for such a short barrel. If you have built one, post a pic.

I ordered a bell and Carlson medalist sporter for it this morning. Just need a barrel and bottom metal.

If anyone has a bottom metal for a model 7, whether its a dbm or bdl type, holler at me.

Plan is a 10" with a #4 contour 1:7 twist and run my harvester on it. I need a TBAC ultra 7 though.... LOL

Waste of money and a good receiver.

But I already told you my opinion.

Sound like a waste of money and time. Just build a sbr ar. It is so much more versatile!

I agree. Then you can sbr a 9mm, .22lr, 300 bo, and .223, all for the cost of one stamp.

Have you ever shot a TC in a big caliber? It will slap you around like a little girl haha.

This is going just as famously as I imagined.
It's not practical. But hey it doesn't have to be.
Now if I was doing it I'd make it integrally suppressed as well. But hey that's too awesome for some folks.

I think once he bought an M1919, he may have stopped worrying about buying guns that are "practical"

I have an SBR AR in 556. And another custom reciever on the way. I have most everything I want. Who gives a **** if it's practical lol. It'll be fun to shoot.

I have. They are pretty brutal. I'd rather have a nice double rifle in a big boy caliber lol.

I have registered recievers to fit the semi auto bill already.

I have a hot rod 223AI as well so there's the 223 bolt gun part. Lol

as far as a 300 BLK goes, everything done in the dimensioning of that round was designed with the sole purpose of being able to reliably feed and eject in a M4 style of rifle while utilizing standard GI magazines. IMO there would be better performing cartridges with similar recoil available in a short action bold gun.

No reason not to do it. Even if not optimal.

Wish I could buy that M1919 from you...

Give me your thoughts on what other calibers then. I'm all ears. Barrel isn't bought yet.
