    Flattest subsonic 300 BLK

I'm waiting on my SBR & suppressor tax stamps to come back for my 300 Blackout. Been looking around at ammo. It looks like most rounds are high 4" at 50 yds, flat at 100, and low about 13" at 150 yds. Is there a subsonic round (other than hand loads) that have a flatter trajectory?

Nope. Nature of the beast. You cannot defeat physics. Keep the subs for close work.

just loaded my first batch. 9.5 gr of h110 behind a hornady amax 208 gr. was told exactly the numbers you posted above.

Yup. "Flat shooting" and "subsonic " don't belong in the same sentence.

With these subs, you have to know your target distance within feet and inches. There's no room for error out past 80 yards or so. I zero at 50.

Nope, 1050fps with a 220 gr slug the trajectory you posted is about right. You might be able to get a LITTLE flatter performance with lighter subsonics, like the 174gr offerings.

For what it's worth, I do think the sub sonic blackout round is useful. I have found the best use case to be in a blind where you have measured the exact distance to a feeder with a laser. Then, just zero your rifle for that exact distance. Several times, I have been able to whack a pig at the feeder, wait 10 minutes, and then the rest of the group comes back out, not much the wiser. I think my high score is three pigs in one sitting, with three different groups of pigs.

Then you have to find/pay for a projectile that works at those velocities. It's fun. But practical in only limited scenarios.

Go supersonic and never look back.

I've got this build setup for a main purpose; Night Vision suppressed subsonic. That being said, my can (SilencerCo Omega) will handle the supersonics, so I'm wondering what will the difference be in sound between the sub and super? I understand you will still get some sort of crack from the super being above the sound barrier, but is it still drastically quieter than a non suppressed super?

I looked at the Lehigh Defense 174 and 194 grain bullets, and their trajectory and muzzle velocities are almost identical. You just get greater kinetic energy with the 194 (obviously). Consensus just browsing around a few forums is the 194 grain Lehigh Defense is one of the best performing bullets for subsonic 300 AAC. Anybody please tell me otherwise and convince me to use another round (or not).

I've used the Lehigh with very mixed results.

Either way pigs run off from the noise. Pigs leave at the sound of an arrow. They leave when you shoot subs and supers. Might as well kill 1 before they leave. You're success rate will be 5x higher with supersonic ammo.
