    Best Value .22 Mag?

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions for a semi-auto 22 mag? I'm planning on getting my FIL one for Christmas this year. He carries a lever gun in his truck, but its old and beat to death.

Synthetic would be better for his situation. I'm not finding a whole lot of options online. There's a savage that looks decent and a CZ that's reasonable, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of auto loaders.

Haven't seen too many 22 mag auto loaders, but if a bolt action would work, I'd recommend a Ruger American Rimfire. I've got one in 22 LR and really like it.

.22 mag ammo is nearly impossible to find around here. Sweet round but may want to keep that factor into consideration

Look at the savage A22, super accurate (21in bbl), accu trigger, and 10 Rd mag. Supposed to be coming out with laminate stock, the one I got is synthetic.

I hate to even say this. But the savage auto .17 is a cool gun.

My buddy bought one last year and it's been a great shooter.

A consideration if not the mag

22 mag ammo seems to be readily available on Ammo Seek. Me and several of my coworkers have found it quite reasonable lately. I know its not a semi, but i bought a savage 22 mag with a bull barrel and its an awesome shooter. It is only bolt action, but that is about all i have ever used.

I would look into a magnum research. they are great guns. but about $700. value is relative, this gun you will not be disappointed in.
