What is your subsonic load?

I thought it may help someone to have some subsonic load data to shoot whisper quiet with a can.

I know not many of you prefer the 308 but I have always shot a 30-06 and don't plan to change now. Anyway, here's mine:

Winchester standard LR primer (the only time I use them).
150gr Hornady Interbond
13.3gr Trail Boss

1,036 fps out of a 16" 1/10 Savage 10


I returned to my reloading roots and broke out the old Lee Loader I cut my teeth on and knocked out 50 in a little over an hour. Ugh that thing is slow! I'll go back to the press when I make more!

BLK not 30.06 but I like the 150 grain soft points over 5 grains of Trailboss for my 9.5" Suppressed Handi Rifle. Stupid quiet!

Looks like I need to get into reloading!!

I love the 06 but never thought there would be subs for it.

Are there any other bullet selections for the sub loads?

There are several out there in the 180-210gr but I haven't tried them.

I would have to dig out my records, but I believe it was 10.5gr Trailboss with 180gr roundnose for my 308.

10.3gr trailboss 178gr match King or 10.1 for 168 a max

I guess I've never seen an actual picture of Trailboss. That is a funky looking powder. I bet it doesn't meter at all? Definitely wouldn't fit well with my bulk loading.

I measure each load manually. Never tried to run it through my powder dispenser but I bet you are right.
