    Converting Nighthawk to 10mm

I have a NH commander in 40 and not really a fan of it. For $270 NW will rechamber the barrel, engrave 10mm on the shroud, and test for function. The price includes two mags.

    Your thoughts?

That's insane. Buy a 10mm barrel. Have nighthawk fit it. If you can afford a nighthawk then you can afford to have a barrel done right.

Actually it was NH suggestion. They don't have access to 10mm commander barrels. And yes I thought about buying one and having fit it.

What ammo do you plan to shoot? Do you reload?

Go for it. I like the idea of keeping the original barrel that was fit for the gun.

Just curious. What do you not like about the .40 that makes you want to go to 10mm?

The 40 seems to cycle slow in the gun and it has some feed issues. I think most people convert over to 10mm mags to solve the failure to feed.

Going to shot standard over the counter ammo. Not reloading pistol cals right now.

A lot of the factory 10mm ammo is underpowered. Unless you are shooting corebond or buffalo bore you aren't gaining a whole lot of performance over the standard 40 s&w.
