This was the average group from my Mossberg. I know for sure my crimps weren't all consistent. That is everything with slug accuracy.

Next batch, I'll increase the powder charge by 3-5 grains.

I like the Tombstone theme but I'd go with "Huckleberry"

When you shot it from the shoulder were you standing up or hunched over it on the bench?

Now let's talk recoil. I shot all 18 rounds off a lead sled with the exception of one so I can get the "feel".

Brothers, I submit to you right now. I thought I was ready. I wasn't ready.

Sweet baby Jesus, it felt like I was dropped kick by Hulk Hogan wearing football cleats.

The recoil dislodged my right lung in my upper thoracic cavity, sending it about 2 inches closer to my spine.

I'd rather have a bowling ball dropped on me from 75 yards up. I'm sure when your hunting, you prolly won't feel it that bad.

If you ever want to kill your spouse and make it look like an accident, slip one of those bad boys in her dove gun. She won't know what hit her.

Off sand bags. I'm a true shotgunner and no stranger to recoil. I reload all my on slugs and buck. I cast my buckshot as well, too.

          Brutal. Brother. Down right brutal.

I've got a few boxes of the 3.5" IDS Commander plus that are amazing slugs and some Dixie slug that are 700 something grain slugs that are badA** too! Love those things! Running 5-8" groups at 100yds from my rifled barrel mossberg 835.

I can only imagine. The worst I've felt was 1 1/2 oz at about 1500fps. I didn't know better and had all my weight behind the gun in stead of rocking with it.

                    BT-73

BT being for Blood Trail of course .

Next outing try one off hand. Something that heavy will most likely be used off hand anyway. Like the old double drilling rifles were long ago in Africa.

Looking forward to more of your testing Leon.

                      Stand by for more testing.

Also, I'll be testing Hammerhead sabots and my long range #4 buck.
