    Wilson Combat Owners

Looking at picking up a 9mm full size Wilson. Was mainly looking at the xtac and CQB. Any of you have one, and if so what are your thoughts?

I would go with a heirloom or a Stan Chen. Go big or go home.

All kidding aside you won't go wrong with a wilson. Great pistol and CS. Holds resale IF you ever decide to get rid of it.

What do you plan on using it for? IMO Les Baer will give you more bang for your buck.

Edit: Les Baer doesn't make a 9mm. Used to a long time ago. He does make a 38 super with a fully supported chamber.

      To answer your real question[emoji1]

Go with the cqb if your more of a traditionalist. It gives you more of the original look.

Go x Tac if your hip and like things a little different.

Are you looking at pre existing ones or having them build to your specs?

I have the WC ultralight carry compact and love it. Mine is a .45 but I would like to add a 9mm as well. If I had it to do over, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

.38 super is too costly considering how much 9mm brass I can get easily. And I am more of a fan of Wilson.

As far as appearance of it goes I really don't care. I know there is going to be a difference in the feel of the xtac, but I will hold both before I order.

Primarily this will be intended for IDPA. Looking for a good ESP rig.

Due to the available in stock guns I doubt I will order if the wait is long. They have some in stock very close to what I would order. Mostly only differences in color options.

I personally would go with the cqb. If they had one with no FC serrations would be my preference.

I don't know anyone who bought a wilson and regretted it. Post pics when you get it.

I have the x tac and boy does the x pattern eat up your hands during range time. Mine has the extended mag well and a couple of other upgrades. Shoots equal to the rest of my high end stuff. Just one ragged hole.

I've had a WC CQB in 9mm, and it was a really nice gun. Good luck on your search.

Well I shot the xtac today. Shot like a dream. Dang is 9mm going to be nice for the timer! I'm going to try and shoot a CQB now to see what I like the feel of the best.

I'm not worried about an aggressive pattern. It won't take long for some callus to form. I will put more down range than the average shooter. Xtac feels really nice. CQB up next and then I will make the call. Price is comparable. I really like the feel is the xtac checker.

This is the one I bought off Gunbroker. Got a great deal and it came with everything like new.

A 9mm 1911 is about the softest, easiest pistol to shoot. Ready for pics when you get it!
