    AR-15 Wizards, Need Help

I've thumbed through an enormous amount of threads trying to get an idea of some uppers but it's all over the place, so I figured I would see what response I could get.

I've currently got a PSA Lower and I'm looking to buy a complete upper with my tax return, trying to stay in the 400-600$ range. I'm not trying to put together a 600 yard tack driver just a pig/coyote gun and something for the girlfriend to plink with. After some of my research I think I'm going to go with a mid-length system and a 1:7 twist 16" barrel and probably a KeyMod handrail.

So far I've found a nice complete upper from aeroprecision but I can't find much info on them. I recently found a decent upper on the radical website as well.

Any suggestions of some other brands that may fit into what I'm trying to do?

    Thanks for your time.

Aero makes a lot of parts for other manufacturers, don't think you could go wrong with them.

Aero will suit your needs very well. They build a good product for the money.
      16". Mid length. 1:7

Second the PSA vote. I've yet to shoot mine. But it was cheap.

I bought this a couple weeks ago from PSA- PSA 16" Mid-length 5.56 NATO 1:8 Stainless Steel Freedom Upper - No BCG or Charging Handle - 7788890 for @$230, then a BCG and Charging handle from DeltaTeamTactical for @$100 (free shipping). I already had the lower built.

Doesn't exactly match your specs, but fits the budget.

PSA Upper......you already have the lower.

I have a couple complete PSA. No problem and it's hard to beat their price if you catch a sale.

PSA is good. So is Aero. I have an Aero built by a guy in Weatherford with a few tricks and it's a shooter. Also have an Aero lower with a PSA upper and it's a shooter also. I would take either to a fight...

I just got a LaRue 2 stage trigger and I'm going to build a gun around it. Have a Spikes Tactical stripped lower and parts kit so upper parts and barrel are next. Thinking 6.8.

I haven't shot my psa yet.. what kind of accuracy are Yall getting? I'm an average shot I can keep most guns around 2-5" groups. How's the PSA going to stack up?

I bought a PSA upper 16" lightweight pencil barrel premium CHF 1:7' twist chrome lined with 12" keymod rail for about $550 bucks. It shoots as good as my others.

if I we're to do a simple plinking and girlfriend gun I'd go with a higher twist rate barrel that would allow you to shoot the 55gr bullets. They are easier to come by and usually always less expensive.
