    Weapon light help.

Lucked on this STI Duty One last week. Been to the range, runs flawless, been carrying it and weight isn't too bad. Only issue I'm havin is lights won't stay on the rail. Tried a Nebo (cheapo) and just picked up a TRL-1s and it won't mount at all. Any pressure and it just slips right off. Anyone know if I need another light or is there something I'm just overlooking?? The keys fit just fine. It's the shoulders on the inside of the mount (clamps) itself.

Better picture showing the problem. Does the sure fire not have the sharp angle?Click image for larger version

Do you have the appropriate rail adapter installed? TLR comes with several plastic pieces for different guns\rail set ups...

That is one of the older Duty 1's. It uses a different frame than our current models. I believe the rail dimensions on your gun were designed around the Surefire X200. I will check with Chris when he returns from vacation and try to get more info.

I just spoke with the warranty manager. He said if you would like you can send the gun back to us. We will rework the rails or replace the frame with a new style frame depending on what they decide when they get the gun in hand.

Please follow the link below. Fill out the information needed and we will send you a prepaid shipping label and RMA number. If you have any questions please let me know.

                  Regards
                  Dustin

Wow! Ok. Yeah I'll do that! Never would have crossed my mind that it would even be an option.
