    The .300 Mini is already threaded. Tactical model as per the above link. I enjoy playing with gunsmithing, and have a AR that I have changed a lot, but most people just want to buy a gun and use it. An extra mag for a Mini-14 is easy to find and is about $25. Many people are not interested in AR's also because they are an ugly piece of fiddly machinery. (As I said, I do have an AR.)

      I'll say it again: I like the Mini. It handles well, and does look better than an AR. But they don't perform like one.
