    Baby Glock recoil spring question

I've got a fairly new G26 Gen4 (9mm), and I noticed that the slide doesn't return to full battery 100% of the time. Especially if held vertical and slightly retracting the slide to see the chamber loaded condition - the slide will not always return to full fwd position.

My much older Glock G21's are always 100% on returning the slide to battery, but they are well broken in.

Should I see if Glock will send me a new recoil spring to try in it? The gun was bought in January this year.

Is it especially then or only then. Describe your other failures

It only happens when I do a "press check" on the slide to verify that the chamber is loaded. All other times, the slide is coming forward with velocity and works fine.

Replace it.. Glocks need parts changed, same as any other gun.

No offense intended but it sounds like an operator induced condition.

If it only happens when you are checking the load then you have full control to push the slide back completely forward.

Very true. This is the only one of my Glocks that has this happen, so I was curious about it.
