    Opinions based on Experience?

Never owned one, but keep hearing great things about 'em. Always been a Nikon fan so what's your experience on Vortex?

I like a scope to OPEN up visually as soon as I shoulder it even at higher magnification. I'm looking at the Crossfire 11, 4x12 50mm BDC. Yep, from our resident TBH Vortex dealer.

The price is right and just interested in the model. I have never and will never spend the higher prices so anyone who has this model or general experience with Vortex....would like to hear from you. Old Dog but still open to change if it's better and worth the price.

Had a viper 1-4 that wouldn't hold zero. Sent it to vortex and they said it was functioning fine. I bought an mtac and have been much happier.

Several buddies have them you get a lot of scope for the money in my opinion.

My buddy had been shooting a crossfire a couple years with the vbrite.
I liked it so I just put one on my .270 like it. Clear. No field experience yet
Hope it works as well as my vortex Dimondback binoculars

IMO, everything vortex has, somebody else makes something better for the same money.

I have several Crossfire on 6.5, .243 and I put one on my sons .22. All have performed as advertised with no complaints. I did notice that the one on my Creed seem to start getting blurry late this season but I'm not 100% sure it's not the users eyes.

I have 2 crossfire scopes and 1 PST 5-25. So far mine have functioned perfectly but I have read enough about scope flare that I'm not buying another

I bought a viper and will not be buying anything else vortex. Very cloudy at higher magnification 6.5x20x50

What Nikon are you comparing it to? I've not been that impressed with the quality of the glass in Vortex optics vs $$$ paid for that optic. Agree with Tactical Cowboy's comment. Can get better for same money elsewhere. Not to say they don't make good glass, but I believe most their products are priced similarly to that of the next class up from other manufactures.

I had a Diamondback that came on a used rifle that was very cloudy. I sent an email to Vortex and they sent me a shipping label for return. When I took the scope off of the rifle I found that it was damaged from over tightened rings. Vortex replaced it for free, also sent me instructions for tightening the screws on the rings.
The new scope was just as cloudy as the original and if the sun was anywhere in front of the scope it was even worse.
I think the Diamondback is their $200 range scope and for that much $ Nikon has much clearer glass.
