I am a HUGE Ruger fan! Some will knock them JUST because you can buy at a great price. We just got one of my grandson's a 243 Predator model, put a Nikon Coyote Scope on it and it shoots better than many of our other "more expensive" models. The "knock" on the Americans seems to always be the factory stock. So, if you don't like it, then put a different stock on?! If you don't like the action, then buy something else.

Just my 2 cents but just because something is much more expensive does not always make it a better product. It's always about the feel, the look, performance....just like 'em!

Here is a site you can visit to search for different models, calibers in your area. We have used it several times and it has been very much worthwhile, at least for our family"

Hope this helps and for those who don't know about it, visit and see if it works for you?

Thanks, Kuma! Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything (in stock) in my area

Buddy bought one I tried to hate it then I shot it stainless 308 federal blue box 150s 5 shots under an inch just barely. This was with a pretty rough bench and a 2x7 Redfield. I don't need anymore rifles but it shoots better than several of my considerably more expensive rifles and I wouldn't worry too much about beating it up.

I have the American Ranch in 5.56 for my coyote killer. You can drive tacks with it.

I have a 243 youth model that I won in a drawing. I put a 3-10x50 Nikon on it that I had as an extra scope. Sighted it in dead on bullseye at 65 yards for my daughter. It is probably one of the most impressive little shooters. It will put hole inside of hole every shot. She shot a doe 85 yards and dropped it in its tracks. I like it a lot and can honestly say I probably would never had owned one if I hadn't won it just because it's inexpensive but I would have been missing out on a great little gun. I take it everywhere around the lease with me now.

I have a Predator in 25-06. It will cut holes consistently at 50. Groups about an inch at 100. Incredibly accurate for a $347 rifle. 4-12x40 Diamondback glass.

$370 is what the newest flyer says.....was looking at the 7-08 for a possibility for the ol lady.

Thanks for all that replied, way better reviews then what I was expecting.

I've not shot one, but have heard nothing bad about them.

                              I have two, 223 and 6.5 Creedmoor.
They are the most accurate rifles I own.

I have one in 22 LR. If I didn't have a 77/22 mag, or a CZ in 17HMR, I'd buy the RA in those caliber too!
