Need help making a gun raffle list

Our mens group at church is looking to put on a gun raffle in conjuction with a "Sportsman's Banquet Dinner". We are looking to pick ten guns and have about a $5,000 max budget. We have already been told that we cant use ARs or 1911s (too military), and while i disagree Im not going to fight this one. Pretty much any other rifles, shotguns and pistols are fair game. So in keeping with the Sportsmans theme what gun would you like to see on a raffle and what caliber?

Being a left handed person, I'd be tickled at seeing a left handed bolt action rifle and a lefty shotgun and/or ambi shotgun (Browning BPS).

Great list...but I would change the H&R 410 to a 20ga...The 410 is an experts gun while the 20 is much more kid friendly.

We've done a few of these for fundraisers and from our experience, one really good "high end" listing will sell a lot of tickets. Then a few listings that people want for their kids to shoot will sell the rest. Names that sell tickets would be; Benelli and browning for shotguns, Remington and browning for rifles, kimber and sig for handguns, and of coarse 10/22s for the kids. Good luck with the raffle.

I worked over 21 years in fundraising for DU & NRA. Cajun Blakes list looks good to me

Thanks for all the input, this is the list that I had in mind. How would you feel about the last two spots including non gun items like a yeti cooler or bow?

              1 Reminton 700 - .308
2 CZ mallard over under 20ga
              3 Franchi affinity - 12ga
              4 10/22 takedown
5 Rossi combo .17 HMR and 20ga single shot
              6 S&W 637 - .38 special
              7 Ruger 22/45 target model(10107)
              8 .243 H&R single shot
              9
              10

Consider adding a Mossberg MVP bolt action in 5.56( takes AR mags) or a Mossberg MVP Patrol in .308( takes m14 mags) Nice guns with good out of the box triggers.
The Yeti is a great idea, and if you can get a bow at wholesale, that would be a good prize also.

One shotgun that worked well for us in our FFA raffles was the Benelli Super Nova.

You may get a few more buyers by adding two non-gun items.

Not sure the bow would help sell. What about a lever gun 30-30. Or Henry 22

If you add a bow, make if a gift certificate to the local archery shop for $*** so that they can pick out the bow they want and one that FITS them.

Get a local shop to sponsor the banquet and get the guns at cost. It winter save much but will help out to get the higher end guns with the budget.
