    Shotshell Reloading Question

I just started reloading 12ga shells as a new hobby. I've done my first few by following the recipe from the powder manufacturer's website and everything looks good except the shot seems to rattle a little when I shake the shell. Anyone have any insight to what causes this? I have measured the powder and shot on a scale and they are both the exact weights needed for the recipe with the right primer and wad. The crimps seem good so I'm not sure where to turn. I assume even though the shot is a little loose they are still okay to shoot?

    Winchester 209 primer
    Winchester WST - 22 grs
    Winchester WAA12SL

Ever shell I reloaded had a rattle to it and never had a problem.

Open up a box from a store and I can almost guarantee that the shot will rattle to some extent. Shouldn't be a problem.

You can adjust with a felt or cork wad if there is quite a bit of room. But if your crimp is good from your description just a little movement, it is most likely good to go.

The Winchester WAA12SL wad is good for 1 - 1 1/8 oz. of shot.
If you are only loading 1 oz. there will still space left in the wad for additional shot.

Thanks for the answers. I figured it wasn't a big deal, but wanted to ask since I'm fairly new to reloading.
