Looking for Redfield or Leupold Mounts for Savage Axis

I'm trying to mount a scope on a Savage Axis, and the Weaver base that I found for this gun, didn't work out. It and the rings fit fine, but I ran out of windage adjustment on the scope (Leupold Vari X II), and feel like I will need to make it up, using a mounting system with an adjustable base.
I'm looking to find out what model Redfield, Leupold, Burris, or ??? makes, that will fit this specific rifle. A google search didn't yield what I was hoping to find. Thanks for any help that you can offer.

Ha...I did the same thing. Got a rail on eBay and was able to mount a 3x9x40 Leupold Rifleman.
Bought the same 2pc weaver mount...No good. Don't know how to post pics from my phone or I would show you what I did to my axis.. .with me now on $2000 coyote hunt.

Also look up trigger jobs on YouTube. I cut 1.5 rings off of my trigger spring...Made a big difference.

I went to "ask an expert" on leupold.com, told them what gun i had and what scope i was going to mount and they replied with the mount and rings that i needed.. might give them a try..

These are Leupold mounts and rings on a 223 cal Savage Axis. The rear mount comes forward to catch the rear rings. The Brownells Tech fixed me up with the right stuff.
