Best truck mount for an AR?

I'm looking for a good mount for my AR to keep it handy in case a hog or yote decides to run across the pasture in front of me. Anyone ever used one like this http://discretedefensesolutions.com/...console-mount/ or know of something better besides just sticking it between the seat and center console?

I just wedge the 30 rd mag between the seats. SBR rides on top of the console or on the dash

Every truck, ranch truck I've ever had possessed the natura ability to hold a rifle between the seat and console magically. The gun will find the sweet spot, trust me. I have a ranch truck w the console removed and a 2 gun rack there and a few on the high rack, but don't over think it amigo.

I just stuff mine between the seat and console in my ranch truck. In my blazer, that has bucket seats and no console, I just lay it in the floorboard where the console would go.

That's pretty cool, and at only $35 it might be worth a shot

Look at the "Lucid Snap Rack".
I've used it for a couple years now and I love it because its just as handy as putting it between the console and seat but it's also out of sight.

Lucid Optics was founded in 2009 by Jason Wilson, former Brunton Optics Category Manager. One sunny afternoon in the fall, while he was working on a new product mix for Brunton, Jason asked himself why he was not on a ridge somewhere chasing elk? His next thoughts were, this gear does not need to be so expensive and why couldn't the manufacturer combine the best features for the needs of the shooter, bundle it all together and offer an innovative product at an affordable price?. So, when the time was right, that was exactly what he did by creating Lucid Optics.

Just another option, that thing looks pretty cool also.

                What do you drive?

I've got a single gun BigSky rack that we fabbed up to mount to the hanger hook screws on the 2003 extended cab Tacoma. It's out of sight and amazingly handy. SBR with can fits fine!
