300 RUM scope mount?

Got a Sedero 300 RUM currently with a 3.5x10 scope, Burris, no complaints always held zero. Got a 6.5 x 20 x 50 Zeiss with tactical knobs mil dot I want to mount to stretch it out long range. Question is...do I need a 20 MOA base for max elevation or reuse the existing Leupold rings and bases since the have performed.

I mounted the same scope on a weatherby mkv with a 20moa rail and the scope didn't have enough internal elevation adjustment.
I say use the same rings and bases
