.17 Scope Recommendation?

I have a savage .17, what scope would you guys put on it? It will probably only be ever used far target shooting.

On my Remington 700 BDL 17 I have a Leupold VX3 4.5-14 40mm. For that gun, since it is only a 300-350 yard gun max effective range, that scope magnification range fits the bill perfectly in my opinion.

Love my sweet 17. I got the 3x12. it takes a beating and stays on. The down side it is heavy

I have the Mueller Eradicator on mine.

Someone above mentioned Mueller. About $230 scope.
