Nesika Actions

Me and a friend of mine who has a pile of custom rifles reminded me of these today. I remember at one time now I wanted a Nesika Rifle really bad. I just totally forgot about em. Anyway I was thinking about picking up one of their actions when I can for a future build. Anyone have any experience with em?

I've owned 4 and still own 1 ... it's a Model T single shot chambered in 6.5x284 ... I've posted pics of the rifle multiple times

my preference are the older actions made in Poulsboro, WA when Glen Harrison owned the company. Glen got screwed out of his business by Charlie Kokesh who ran Nesika and Dakota into the ground. Glen is still around and the owner of Defiance

if buying a full blown custom action today, I'd seriously consider : Defiance, BAT, Borden, and Stolle in no particular order.

I'm wanting to do another custom build and was leaning toward a Surgeon...would you consider a Borden or Defiance over them? Thanks!

compare them all, call the manufacturers , and buy which action you like most

Surgeon makes a great action. When I hear Surgeon, I immediately think sniper or tactical rifle.

Borden and Defiance will likely have tighter tolerances and more often used for custom hunting rifles

all 3 will work depending on your application and build specs

call either manufacturer to see if they have actions on the shelf

Bruno Shooters Supply has Defiance actions in stock

just make sure you research the various models since they offer tons of options

Southern precision rifles keeps defiance in stock as does 3rd gen I believe.
