I’ve been on the hunt for a Redfield one-piece base for a 788 long action (.22-250), dovetail front with windage screws on the back. I’ve run across two brands that look similar, Weaver Grand Slam and COPP. I’ve also found the Picatinny rail type, but I’m old school and don’t care for the looks of those. Anyway, I haven’t found much information on either of the bases. Does anyone have experience with COPP rings and bases or the Weaver Grand Slam? Mainly how does the quality compare to “old school” Redfield?
