    25-06 Ammo for Coyotes

Does anyone have suggestions on a factory load in 25-06 that won't destroy the hide? I'm considering getting after them the next few weeks since duck hunting has been slow. I have a buddy who skins them and would like to hand them over to him in useable condition.

I shoot regular little 100gr. Corelokts at deer but I'm afraid they'd nearly destroy a coyote based on what they do to deer.

I have a .22 magnum, but I'd like to be able to shoot a lot further.

It's gonna be hard to find a bullet that doesn't tear them up pretty good. Depending on where you hit them. I've seen yotes take a hit with a .243 and a .308 and the bullet didn't exit. On broadside shots or head shots it's gonna blow them up pretty good.

It seems like a non expanding bullet might be your best bet.

You honestly might be better off shooting a big game bullet that holds together. If you're lucky it'll punch a hole through them without leaving too big of a hole. I know a smaller grain varmint bullet will look like a grenade went off in them.

Federal 117 w/ Nosler Partition if it shoots well in your gun would be my choice.

I searched online briefly and haven't seen any! Surely someone carries them

Nosler Partitions would be my choice also. Should blow thru with minimal damge to hide on other side. Use lung shots not shoulder

I shot one in the neck a few weeks ago with my 25-06 using Winchester Supreme 115 grain. Passed right through. Two small holes.

I just use 120 grain Remington core lokt for all my coyotes. It doesn't make to much of a hole and has dropped them all in there tracks
