    Thanks for all the input guys. It looks like Capitol Armory has the Anderson lowers in stock for $49.95. I'm going to run over there and pick one up for this build. If all goes well, I foresee another expensive hobby in my future.

    I'm out in the Bee Caves/Lakeway area so I checked with Red's and Sportsman's Finest (closest places to me) on the transfer fee. Both were $50.

      Central Texas Gunworks is $20 I think and cheaper with a CHL. They also had a few lowers in stock last time I was in there. Anderson and Aero but I don't remember what the prices were.

        It's dangerous, I've done three now and am starting a full 1911 build hand fitting most of the parts

          Capital Armory is great, call before you go, sometimes the website is not updated and may not be in stock.

            Red has gone up, I used to work there.....12 years ago.....and we charged $35 then.

              I called this morning and just got back from picking up an Anderson lower. The guys there were great and really helpful. Just like the guys on TBH.

              Thanks again for all of the info. And for future reference, Capitol Armory charges $25 for the transfer fee.
