Stock Suggestions?

Wanting to change out the stock on Savage Trophy Hunter SS XP 6.5 CM to a laminate thumb hole model. Looked at what Boyds offers, any other suggestions on other Brands?

Actually just talked to a gunsmith, well known in our area who suggested Boyds. Going with a, I know...you have to like the style, forrest green laminate ultralight thumb hole stock. He's going to bed, float and trim for accuracy for $85? He comes highly recommended from several gun store owners so I figured cost for the stock at $100 then labor will make it a one of a kind. Something he pointed out, he's not a style fan of the thumb hole, some of the recoil is absorbed with the thumb hole in your hand so less on the shoulder? I guess he should know, builds custom rifles and AR'S so I would guess when several store owners refer you to someone, has to be good vibes...I hope?

I was going to suggest a Boyd's .Don't feel bad if Boyds take 2 months or more to get you your stock. My kids ordered me a replacement stock for my Handi rifle in the 1st week of December. Nothing fancy.
Still not here. Many people must have got stocks for Christmas.
BUT...They do make a great product that is worth waiting for.
