22 cal 7 shot pistol. How old and what's it worth?

It looks like a pretty old pistol. Man....If that thing could talk....actually you probably wouldn't want it to. It looks like something a prostitute carried back in the day.

The only thing I'd be worried about if it's an original Smith and Wesson model 1 is the finish. If it's been messed with or restored in any way it will decrease in value.

Take a good look at the photograph......it's darn hard to match the peeling of the nickel and the patena of the rusting.....

Doesn't look square like this model 1 ........Looks like a Model 1 third issue IMO.

It looks like it. It's almost like the finish is chipping off on the end of the barrel and around the cylinder. As if it was originally blued and then refinished but I don't know.

I have a Colt single action that was nickle platted like that. It looks the same way and it has never been refinished. Don't take my word for it but I think that is original. The colt I have is worn at the end of the barrel and the cylinder from holster wear.
