I'm not sure why some folks get so upset over someone else wanting to boycott a place for what ever reason. It's there time and money and it really doesn't matter if it changes anyone's mind as long as that person is happy with their decision. Why do some people just smh because someone else takes a stand for what they believe. Isn't it their right?
I've boycotted Jane Fonda and Shell gas stations since 1967. It hasn't hurt either one of them even a little bit but just knowing I didn't help their pocket book still makes me feel better.
As for open carry, I'm all for it but I'll still carry concealed because for me it is more comfortable. (I don't ware a belt generally) To each his own, but I really don't understand why it upsets so many people.
I have what I consider more important fish to fry. Carry on.

Being a General Manager of a hotel in Dallas we have wrestled with the decision on which way to go. We have opted to continue with no postings. I am in the camp of wondering why it is so important to open carry in businesses. I do realize there is a first for everything but in my 49 years I have never been in a business where I needed to have a gun for a robbery or anything of that sort. I have needed at home and on our property but never really in public. I got concealed carry really for my vehicle and now it is not really needed. I guess my question is for the people boycotting is this a protection deal or just because the law says you can type deal. I just don't understand how people were able to go out and eat pre CHL.

I know I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I support the right of any business to say and do whatever they want, the marketplace will dictate if your business model is good. If refusing open carry is a business killer it would show eventually and people would stop posting 30.07. I doubt posting no open carry is going to effect their sales at all, it's not that important to most people. I bet heb doesn't even notice, are you going to drive further to the grocery store for the rest of your life I doubt it.
Go ahead and refuse business based on that as is your right, but I don't think anything will change the support level just isn't there
And boycott Jane Fonda!!!!!

I knew it was going to sound hypocritical as soon as I said it. I know it makes no difference to her, but I can't look past the things she did, I'm not trying to effect change with it. I've even watched some of her movies by accident. It's just a personal thing, and much like 30.07 no one cared enough about Jane Fonda to be able to get rid of her either

I just don't see a solid argument for open carry when we have concealed. But hey.... This is a dis-cuss'n board and we be dis-cuss'n.
I can live with either. My job certainly allows neither and I am not about to quit.
