    Nikon Active Target Scope Review

Hey all, putting up this review in case anybody is looking. Also because I was not able to find much on the web about these scopes. So hopefully it helps somebody.

I ordered a Nikon Active Target 4-12x. 40 mm objective. Along with Nikon M223 rings.

This went on my 223 AR 15 that will be used for pig and coyote hunting.

Scope and rings are great quality. Really nice optics for under $300. I love this reticle. It is built for hunting and fast target acquisition. It is not the scope for you if you're building a target or range gun.

It took me about 10 shots to get it close to center at 100 yards.

I chose to zero at 100 due to the reticle. With it zeroed at 100 I can use the bottom of the circle for 200, and the next two for 300 and 400. Most of my shots will be inside 200.

This picture is of me walking the dot in. And then firing 5 shots dead center. The first two were left. A few clicks and I was a bit high and right. 2 more clicks and I drilled 5 shots almost in the same hole. I'm very impressed in my AR as well as the scope.

Shot dead center at 200, and close enough for kill shots at 3 and 400. The Nikon Spot on app is awesome.

I love the Nikon scopes, I prefer the BDC reticle personally but to each his own.
You are correct in saying the spot on app from Nikon is awesome and very accurate

          Nice review

I have been a big fan of Nikon's Coyote Special now referred to as the Active Target model. I am 7 for 7 on coyote's with mine. First time I used it and got fur in the BDC reticle I pulled the trigger and one less fawn killer. Using this reticle and Spot On is very easy. Pick your scope and fill int he data, hit "fire" and you get the distances for your circles.
Flex did a nice job going through the site in process, not hard at all. I like to use Spot On and enter target distance 50 yards and my zero at 100. It will then tell me where I need to impact for the 100 yard zero. Nice ammo saving feature. If yo have any Spot On question's feel free to drop me a note.
