6.8 scope help

I'm looking for a good scope for my new 6.8, gun with be used for hunting. I ha e a 3x9x40 Nikon on my other gun but wanting a little more. Thanks.

Do you need more? I had a 3-18 and it was too much for me. Low power optics like the 3-9 will work fine to 300 where the 6.8 starts to fall off. I might go 4-12 but that's about it.

I run two different scopes w/Larue quick detach mounts on mine, I switch them out depending on what I'm hunting.
I have a Zeiss conquest 3.5x10 ( I think) I also run a Trijicon 1x4...

I have a 3x9x40 Leupold VX-1 on one 6.8 and a 4.5x14x40 Leupold CDS on another.

I prefer the 3x9x40.

I feel it is better in low light and like the clarity when looking at something close when comparing between the two.

Im not limited to one AR

the larue mounts hold a true zero between numerous ARs and optics. I also run the 1x4 and an Aimpoint T1 on my 300BFD depending on useage.

I knew full well you weren't

Just saying that was why I went with the QD mounts, so that I could put a scope on to go hog hunt and then replace it with the EoTech when I got home
