heaviest bullet for 1/9 twist barrel?

like the title says... whats the heaviest bullet i can shoot, ACCURATELY, with a 1/9 twist barrel?

What caliber?

If you're talking .224 caliber, the Hornady 75 grain BTHP stabilizes in a 1:9" twist. The Sierra and Hornady 77 gr BTHP and the Hornady 75 grain AMax will not and need 1:8" twist barrels.

The difference in the two posts is on the first one I just copy and pasted the Image URL, and the second post I actually saved then uploaded the picture. Hope it helps. And for the record I am no AR guru, just passing along what I believe to be good info.

IMO up to 62 grains a 9 twist will shoot very well and up to 69 grains may shoot well.

After that it's a crapshoot and depends on the rifle more than anything.
