    Hydro dipping?

Has anybody had a rifle or shotgun stock done. I'm really wanting to do a couple of rifles. Post some pics if you have them.

Those look great. I've got an idea of what I want, and it shouldn't be tough at all. I talked to my BIL and one of his cousins does hydro-dipping. I'm going to get in contact with him and look at some of his work.

Blake- how does that hydro dip hold up? I've got some shotguns (Remmy 870s and Winny SX3) that have camo graphics on them - I'm assuming hydrographics - and it has completely worn off around the grips and on the stock. I've always assumed that this would be true of all hydrographics? Or do the manufacturers just use cruddy methods/materials?

Was talking to a guy today about a custom cerakote paint job because I know it'll be durable but, dang, it ain't cheap! I'd almost rather go single coat cerakote and then dip it; but only if it's going to be really durable. I don't have any safe queens. :-p

I had my SBR done by Cliff at Joint Force Enterprises several years back. I've beaten the crap out of that thing in several week long schools, and it's taken the abuse fine. The only part that ever got chipped or beat up was a flashlight bezel that sits about 1 inch off of my muzzle break.

Dont know about his experiences, but the durability of hydrodipping is pretty much based on the quality of their primer and clear coat. Here are a few of the items ive tinkered with. No where near professional reaults, but they work for me. It is fun, but the videos make it look WWWAAAYYYY easier than it actually is!!!
