Yep. They're selling their top end scopes faster than they can make them, apparently. This new one is made in the USA as well. Lots of cool stuff coming out of Vortex right now.

I am going to be in the market for a spotting scope soon and am a fan of Swarovski and Leica but not at $3000. I am enamored with the Vortex Rzr HD angled spotting scope but I was talking with a guy up here that is part owner of Maven (www.mavenbuilt.com). They are the guys that used to be at Brunton. They make great binoculars for a fraction of the cost of Swarovski and Leica etc. and I would own them had I not already had a pair of swaros and leica's. You can only order them online through their website. They are at least as clear as the top end glass.
Anyway, they have been developing a spotting scope and one of their guys recently told me they should be available to order by the end of February.
Not trying to steal your thread but since you already order your scope I thought I would let people know about another optics option out there for binoculars and soon, spotting scopes.

Scott, I have a pair of the closeout Brunton binocs as well as one of their spotting scopes. Both are very nice, and the closeout prices that I paid for them were incredibly cheap. I hadn't heard of Maven, but if they're building the same or better quality as the Brunton stuff I have then they'll be good products.
Looks like Maven's 8x42mm binocs sell for $900. I have the 8.5x43mm Bruntons. I paid about $240 in the closeout deal. I doubt I'll ever buy that kind of quality that cheap again. $900 would be a very fair price for them. They're really nice.

I have buddies that have Maven glass and like I said, if I did not already have a pair of swaro's and Leica range finders binoculars, I would be all over them. The quality is equal no doubt. Now, I would like to pick up a pair of the 10x compact Maven's, a friend of mine has two pair of them and they are killer. It is cool also that you can customize them with different colors, camo etc. on their website.

All I see now are binoculars. Are they planning to make riflescopes as well?
