I'm no Gummy, but they are great. I bought two for each rifle blind last year so no worry about leaving them at the ranch house. Volume control is quite good for the price point and still on the same batteries a year later.

I am very happy with them.

Happy enough that I bought a pair each for Mrs and Twerpy too.

They are a little funny to get used to initially, sound being amplified, but that is a pretty short learning curve.

Had them for a year now, and shoot at least on e a month. Batteries are still working great.

I have them and the peltors. The peltors have better sound but for that price you can't go wrong with the Howards. The best thing is they have the automatic cut off.

I just got a set of the Walkers for my wife. To keep by the gun by the bed in case she has to shoot in the house (if I'm not there). Keep her from temporary deafness and hopefully help if the need arises. Shudder at the thought.

Beware, if you have a massive melon like I do they might not sit and seal correctly on your ears. They do work well though....
