Thinking of purchasing a Winchester model 70 300wsm, what are yalls thoughts. never owned a winchester or this particular round. I like long distance shots, mainly deer, hog and varmint hunt. Just trying to see everyone thinks, I will tell you this, I hate hard kicking rifles

Model 70's are great guns.... The riflemans rifle.... Although I personally do not like the synthetic stocked ones. Synthetic any rifle for that matter.
Now, if you hate hard recoiling rifles, the 300wsm may not be for you. I have a couple videos on what a 300wsm does on a mouflon cross ram at 130 yards and a slick 6 at about 250 -

I had a Tikka T3 and I liked the round. Thing would pack a punch if you weren't careful. That round is devastating. A lot of powder pushing that pill.Comment
