    Love some Tikka

Got a Tikka 22-250 last year and love it. Decided to get another one in a larger caliber, so I decided on a 7mm-08. Took it to the farm and out of the box, these are shots 5, 6, and 7. Shooting Hornady Superformance SST. I don't think it's even warmed up yet

Best out off the box trigger I have found sub $1000.00. Really like mine.

Wait till you get into hand loads. This is he best group out of a 243 stainless. 3 shots; 85 gr Sierra game king over 4064 I believe. Oh and great group out of the box. Mine sure wasn't that good with factory ammo

This was after about 40 rounds, so the barrel is dirty but this is my T3 Lite in .30-06, with 165 grain Federal Premium Trophy Bonded Tip. I know this rifle can shoot even better because I'm a decent shot at best. Someone with better trigger control and with a lead sled could really shrink this down.

My tikka hates the sst rounds. Shoots the federal vital shocks well

My T3 lite in 25-06 took about 40 rounds downrange before it came on. I was getting frustrated with poor (1.75") groups, then all of a sudden wham! Sub .75" groups. Then multiple sub .5". Now the same ammo that wouldn't group, does fine.
I thought it was me, but I was shooting my 7mm mag at the same time with sub 1" groups. I was frustrated cause I was shooting back in the summer heat, and only getting about 3 shots per 20 mins to keep barrel temps down. Anyway, I am a happy camper now.

Is that the original stock on your t3?

Both my guns love the barnes vortex rounds. 100 gr for the 25-06 and 120 gr for 7-08

My Tikka T3 7mm-08 didn't like the Hornady Superformance SST. It's shoots lights out with Nosler Accubonds and Ballistic tips.

Interesting. I was tossing back and forth between the 2 and went with Horandy due to locals carrying it on the shelf. May have to pick up a box of the Nosler and try them out too. I can't say I have any complaints with the Horandy though after getting a group like that with less than 10 rounds down a brand new barrel.

If your Tikka likes the SST stick with it, especially for the price and accessibility. It was actually the first ammo I tried out when I purchase the rifle. First box and best group was over 1.5", got a second box with same results. I switch to Nosler Ballistic tips 140gr and rounds were touching, then gave the Accubonds a try with same outstanding results. I might give the Barnes in 120gr a shot and see how she likes it.

I was wondering the same, Ive never seen a stock gun with that one on it. Looks like a B&C
