Custom ruger 10/22 parts ?'s

I'm wanting to build up another ruger 10/22... years ago I built one up with as many volquartsen parts as I could. barrel, action parts, trigger/sear, etc.

I don't follow all the different brands out there, and the performance they get. Just looking on the google, there are a ton of different barrel makers and other action parts.

what are THE brand/brands to go with these days for a good shooter?

I mostly agree. I would just change the order to Kidd, VQ, Tacsol.

Those lil guns are a ton of fun to build up

KIDD al the way. Mine shoots 1" at 100yds with mini mags.

And they are Texas made.

I like my lightweight fluted and threaded TacSol barrel.

WhistlePig Barrels, KIDD and VQ in that order. TacSol doesn't make the list for me.

Not many people know about Whistle Pig barrels but I put one in my wifes 10/22 and it outshoots my Kidd barrel. Both are .920 bulls but hers is aluminum and fluted with a built in compensator on the front. I think her barrel is a lot more heat resistant than my Kidd. Don't get me wrong, the Kidd will flat out shoot but the WP is better.
