I've picked up a couple thousand round of 9mm reman. I've yet to have a failure so far and the price was tough to beat. . I'll be picking up some .223 from them to try out next.
I have seen it blow up a Tavor, lock up a stock glock, stick in chambers and blow primers out in several ARs that run fine with everything else. They did buy the guy a new Tavor and replace some of the faulty 223 ammo with more faulty 223 ammo though, so maybe that accounts for good customer service. Also watch a guy shooting that ammo once and half of it would make a huge fireball out of his comp at about 12 noon and the other shots sounded fine. This is all stuff I personally witnessed, not heard about. If they made BBs I would not put them in a Red Ryder.
I buy when its on sale. Bought 1k 9mm last...ran for idpa. Cheap ammo ran fine for me. I dunno about betting my life on it like you asked but if it's for that buy better than the bulk cheap fmj anyway. Never tried their hollow points
I have bought quite a bit of 223 and 9mm over the past few years. Never had an issue and it all has shot pretty well. I just buy it for plinking around and for bulk stocking up on ammo.
Bought from them when they first opened. Never really had any problems. Quit buying from them when they wanted to charge shipping and handling, and I was in the store buying it!! Not to mention, that same day they sent me an e-mail for free shipping and they would not honor it "in store." Refuse to do business with a company like that.
