Not a steal, But I am happy...

I found an H&R single shot, combo gun. It is a youth model, .243 and 20 gauge, with a laminated stock.

Will make a perfect first gun for my grandkid's, one they can use for years to come. Now, got to decide which scope to put on it.

I bought my oldest boy a H&R in 7mm08 about 10 years ago. He has since outgrown the youth stock and graduated up to a remmy 700 in .270. The H&R has been passed down to his younger brother who has since gotten a Savage .243 in a adult size lefty. The H&R was then passed down to my next boy, who is getting a new Savage .22-250 for Christmas ( shhhhh, nobody better tell him). The H&R will then be passed down to my youngest son.... He's a bit small but it will be there waiting

The point is; I bought it from Gander mountain as a rifle/scope combo about 10 years ago ( I think for $229 but may be mistaken) and it is still dead on accurate, killed many animals, and has lasted through 3 boys and headed to the 4th one. It's an inexpensive but good investment..... Enjoy

I have a 243, 410, 223, and 45-70 barrel for our Handi Rifle. Wish I coulda gotten a few more barrels before they quit the program but I'm glad we have the ones we've got. The 243 shoots great and the 410 is a fun squirrel and can popper.
